​​James W. Weed was born in Chicago, IL, and raised in Tucson, AZ. He currently lives and works in Seattle, WA.

 

James received a BFA in Painting from the University of Arizona in 1991. James studied under professors Robert Colescott, Alfred Quiroz, and Chuck Hitner.​

His work occupies a space between figuration and abstraction.
